- Client is a mid-size industrial company operating in the energy sector willing and eager to increase capacity in a low-cost country (product range addressing worldwide market); China considered for cost and market growth
OBJECTIVES
- To validate and re-design the entry strategy in China
- To select and negotiate production facility
TASKS
- Review of detailed business economics
- Competitive analysis (stakeholders / competitors / potential entrants / products) → local team
- SWOT analysis of options, selection of preferred scenario as “Brownfield” (partnership / JV less suitable)
- Site identification and selection (35 industrial areas screened), negotiation
- Organization design and recruitment
- Site re-engineering and equipment, plant commissioning
